Moridin obviously wasn't that far away, so that he could watch them and e.g. sense that Sammael & Graendal were holding the OP or see a weave like a link between them (contrary to that, SH can only smell the OP), especially since he was filled with the TP. Moridin also was obviously sneaking, as pointed out several times now. Apparently Sammael still heard something in one moment, but because he couldn't see anyone (Moridin wore fancloth), he shrugged it off.
