Oh yes I don't think he was a good description of your church. I have nothing against you though the whole if you are perfect you can become a god of your own universe thing I find somewhat odd. Certainly you can say it is no more odd than any other belief though I suppose. LDS stuff seems to come up here somewhat often in unpleasing ways..certainly wasn't trying to start that again.
I was refering to big love and yes I know many of their belifs were different than mainstream but groups like that do still exist and are tolerated. Anyway don't want to turn this into a religion debate thread.
Alright. I will point out the obvious and say that any group is bound to have some strange people in it, and that our church believes in abstaining from the consumption of alcohol, so an alcoholic is perhaps not the best representative of our church.
And I'm guessing that you're talking about Big Love? I've never seen the show, so I'm not quite sure what you mean by jaded, but it is not an accurate depiction of our church. The characters are not LDS, they are actually Fundamentalist Mormons with many different practices and beliefs.

Ah, welcome to read and find out...unfortuantly the only LDS people I have known have all been very very odd. Alcoholic, sexist, or just strange. So I try not to talk about your religion much. Also been jaded by an HBO show...

Might as well throw "Becoming a Grey Man" up there, but nothing short of a free DO could do it, IMO.

Yes, Aran'gar mentioned in KoD that Aginor created those creatures in the AoL as servants.
