Is Padan Fain the only character that is consistantly referred to by last name in WoT-Fandom?
Nah.... fans call most of the Asha'man by their last name as consistantly as Fain, especially Taim (the most notable exception is Logain no one ever calls Ablar.), but also Flinn, Narishma etc. Barely anyone ever calls them Damer or Jahar (among fans, I mean).
Count the number of times Damer or Jahar appear vs. Flinn or Narishma. The surname wins hands down. Same for Grady or Neald.
Don't forget Dashiva either, his full name is Corlan Dashiva.
Prologue: Who will be in it? Who do you want to be in it?

nice observation. I think Padan is just a weird name. Or it doesn't sound evil enough *NM*
