Why not require AS to take an oath never to channel with an a'dam on... this would negate the ability of Seanchen to make AS prisoner, and actually makes the job harder for the Seanchen...
With the sul'dam forcing them they cannot help but to channel. The oath would make it impossible to form any weaves. I think the resulting conflict might lead to the death of the AS.
Two conflicting oaths would eventually lead to death, we've seen that they suffocate if they must lie and not lie at the same time. What would the reaction be between an Oath and the a'dam link?
About the oath "I won't give in to the Seanchan". The Oath doesn't give them any added quality to resist the Seanchan, does it? So if they're thinking of giving in they break the oath and..something.
I think you're right about the demane/AS dying. There was as scene where an AS was forced to take an oath to obey so and so and that person refused to believe what was coming out of her mouth and ordered her to say it was not so. The AS was on the floor literally dying before someone else pointed out that the poor woman believed what she had said was true and would be killed by the conflicting oaths, "Speak no word that is not true." and "Obey what's her name."
SO if they took an oath to never channel with an a'dam on and the Suldam forced her to channel I think either she would be killed or the sul'dam would kill her for disobedience.
