Mainly because the damane with the Seanchan military forces are trained to be used in battle, so they aren't limited to the same range of actions the Aes Sedai are, and with the greater dexterity and speed of saidar, it's hard to see how the Ashaman could really measure up to a concentrated effort made by the Seanchan military.


If this was more than a raid and the Seanchan brought a full military force to bear at the BT the Seanchan probably win. Sheer numbers in that situation will be a huge factor. Although the AM did dominate the damane pretty well at the Illian/Altara border. If Rand had been smarter about letting Bashere use them they would have been even more successful.

In addition the Ashaman are being trained not only to fight enemy channelers, but specifically female channelers ... the damane don't have any edge in training against males.

But my real point is that a raid like the one at the WT would fail miserably at the BT.
