I've never understood what the whole point of the eye was. Ok, so Rand had a pure pool to channel. So what? He had to eventually start channeling the taint anyway. Why bother putting it off for one more weave???


And of course it is even possible that the eye was not used for the purpose it was intended at all, and Rand majorly screwed up by using it up.


That's what I always suspected but hadn't put that much thought into it.
