Schizophrenia is characterized by symptoms of paranoia, hallucinations, and social withdrawal. Granted, Rand has some of these (although I'm not sure LTT's voice is truly analogous to the 'voices in the head' [paranoid auditory hallucinations] that people with schizophrenia experience), but this is separate from having multiple personalities (or, perhaps, borderline personality disorder). BPD is the idea of having narcissitic, manipulative, changeable personality traits, appearing to be loving one minute, then hateful the next.

Frankly, saidin-tainted menfolk appear to have both paranoid schizophrenia and BPD. But the two disorders are not the same.
