... I suspect the new uber-Rand isn't going to get a chance to show everyone how enlightened he's become. Instead the shit is going to hit the fan before he gets a chance to talk to anyone.

The fact that Rand has now fully integrated his dual personas, and has full access and use of all his past memories (assuming they don't start to fade like Birgitte, but even if that happens it still gives him some time) including all that LTT himself knew.....Rand's gonna be a completely different person from here on out.

I think his inner circle is going to be floored, and I think Egwene, when that meeting occurs, will not even be able to register whom she's dealing with. She's going to go into the meeting thinking she's dealing with Rand....crazy Rand...and she's going to find a person who's knowledge, composure and presence dwarfs her own.

I've feared for years now that Rand's importance to the story would be eclipsed as we approached the end of the series, which never felt right in any way, shape or form to me. Rand is the central figure to the story, he's the center that all swirls around. We're going to see this in spades now.

He has become Uber-Rand.

Hope he doesn't change too much. It'd make him no fun to read. *NM* - 02/09/2010 06:42:11 AM 491 Views
