1. I was thinking it was possible that a Forsaken might have been manipulating Elayne due to the whole 'pain of heart' conversation that Moridin had with Graendal. However, if the tower is already unified then Graendal is most likely already dead. Lanfear could also be disrupted Elayne right now.

Elayne has been way too casual of her security lately, especially with Min's 'my babes will be born healthy' viewing.

It will be interesting to see if Elayne's odd behavior actually has something to do with the shadow.

2. The person that was killed by the gholam is probably Lopin. Lopin would be the person that was in Mat's tent when the gholam struck-- plus Mat was thinking about having his stitches repaired earlier in the chapter.
