lmao. Someone had to say it. That really never made sense to me, Aiel attacking Shienar instead of a southern nation. My guess is that they were Shaido.
Given Rhuarc's feelings about the Shaido, I doubt he spent much time talking with them to get their opinions and experiences about fighting Shienarans. And an awfully large number of Aiel left the other clans to fight with the Shaido to assume their mentality is unique to that aberrant clan.
