Any one of us would be a peasant, most likely, at best we'd be lucky enough to be born into a noble family. Either way, like most of randland, we'd think the DO just planned to remake the world and we'd still be existing within his new little hell for us. We would not know that everything/everyone ceases to exist.

Then you'd have to be in a position where you'd know what was going on truthfully in the first place. Due to the lack of press in Randland, news travels on rumor and it's most likely to be that you do not have an accurate appraisal of events.

Lastly, you're assuming there'd be a POINT to you following the Dragon Reborn. What're you going to do, coop some barrels for him? What if you were born a shoemaker, or a baker? What if you're merely a clumsy merchant's guard?

You're extrapolating what you would do with full and accurate knowledge of all events on the people of randland, most of which are powerless against events and have NO idea what's really going on. given the technology levels, it would be almost impossible for rand to "PR" enough to make up for the lack of information being given and people would still have to be wiling to trust that information!!!
