Does the Warder Bond apply to the body or the soul*? If it's just the body, then Rand would have to be re-bonded by Min, Elayne and Aviendha (and could escape Alanna's bond). If it's the soul, would Rand need another Bond to heal from being ripped from TAR?
Until recently I would have thought for sure that the bond would disappear when Rand's body died, and therefore he'd have to be re-bonded after being yanked from TAR.
I say "until recently" because ... in TGS Q&A, Brandon was asked if a person is stilled/burnt-out, and then transmigrated by the DO to a new body, will she still be stilled/burnt-out? I would have thought (almost certainly) that the answer was "no", but Brandon said the answer was "yes". It's not the same situation as the Warder Bond / Ripped-from-TAR issue, but it's similar, and since I was wrong about this particular issue, I'm less certain about the Warder Bond issue than I would have been otherwise.
Actually, the Brandon Q&A is more like body-swap idea - i.e. if Rand's soul changed/swapped bodies, the Warder Bond may remain intact for (presumably) the same reason a stilled/burnout "soul" remains so after Transmigration.
*'Thread' might be a better term than 'soul'. If the soul returned to the soul pool the warder bond would obviously disappear. But if a soul was transmigrated or body-swapped, the warder bond might still stick around.
I agree with the distinction, because of the Brandon Q&A I mentioned above. Transmigration or body-swap might not deactivate the Warder Bond. However, I still think that if the soul went to TAR as a Hero, THAT would break the bond, and therefore Rand would need to be re-bonded if he were subsequently ripped from TAR ala Birgitte.

There's also the "ripped from TAR after death" theory, ala Birgitte (re how Rand lives again).

I don't think it is necessary that Rand be a public figure as Elayne's husband.
