However, I agree with you that there is no evidence to declare that balefire can or cannot affect a One Power weave, which is why I worded my previous response very carefully to indicate that it would not result in a temporal reversal, but I left out whether or not the targeted weave would be destroyed.

Rand wove a shield around himself when Osan'gar attacked him, and he said it would deflect everything except balefire.

But from the POV Graendal's Gateway snapped shut just as the wave of white hit ... she could still see Aran'gar's face when it closed.
Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!

Balefire's reversal of actions taken only works on living things that can perform said actions. - 25/10/2010 09:36:46 PM 921 Views
Agreed. I think Graendal's weave is only undone if the BF hits her, not the gateway *NM* - 25/10/2010 10:48:07 PM 340 Views

It is true. Objects do not have threads that can be affected by balefire. - 26/10/2010 01:56:48 AM 825 Views

That has more to do with the nature of both weaves - 26/10/2010 05:07:48 PM 710 Views
