I see it as his madness and temptation to go to the 'dark side' is gone, thanks to the light(coating his mind under the madness) after his epiphany on Dragon Mount. Now that he has made peace with himself, the DO can't tempt him to go dark again...so his taveren powers are righting ALOT that has gone wrong with the world, as in tea spoiling and crops growing ect.

As far as that all goes though, it was a real sudden transfomation and I can see how it happens, but expected it to take longer.
