I can see how Egwene needs her friends to address her by her title and show proper deference in public. That is vital given how she came to the Seat and how young she is. What some prople, myself included seem to have a problem with is that she wants them to carry this over to private gatherings.
Egwene on the other hand insists that her closest friends call her mother even when they are alone in the world of dreams.
So far as I recall, she only met with them once in private while in TAR. It was better done in private, to, so that she wouldn't be forced to chastise them in public. Right now, it's also about habit-building. Moiraine and Siuan had decades to become accustomed to their public/private relationship: this was the first time Egwene met with Nynaeve and Elayne since her ascendance.
It would really have been fun if Nynaeve has instead of bending to obey Egwene's demand that she return to the tower instead told Egwene that she was staying to help the Dragon Reborn who was the only hope the world had and if that meant she could not be an official Aes Sedai that was a sacrafice she was willing to make for the greater good.
Perhaps; but by becoming Aes Sedai properly she was able to obtain Lan's bond.
