I've seen references to how creepy it is, and it's the one thing I'm curious about. How is the conversion ceremony accomplished? What else about it is so scary?
So far as I know we don't know which weaves are used, but it requires 13 channelers, weaving through 13 myrddraal.
We know 13 women can do it, but we don't know for sure if men can.
We don't know how someone can channel through a Myrddraal, but I assume it would be like a ter'angreal.
The scariest thing is the concept of being turned to the shadow against your will. Compulsion is scary enough, but being altered in such a way that you willingly serve evil... That's terrifying.
I wondered if it was like making an inquisitor in Mistborn, where spikes are driven through another person and into the person being turned.
