I could have sworn someone asked Brandon about this... Terez Send a noteboard - 11/11/2010 03:34:12 PM
...in the information that she exchanged to Mesaana. Particularly since Alsalam is a bit on the suspicious side.

Apparently Alsalam never was in Graendal's hands. On the other hand, there also was't any real relevance in Noal's plotline of a possible Compulsion by Graendal, as some suspected (the whole thing about him not being able to remember something important seems to be pretty irrelevant now). Of course, maybe Noal might yet escape from Finnland somehow, but it seems rather doubtful.

So, who was the old man in Graendal's lair and what was the significance?

...but I can't find it. I did ask someone to ask. When I was reading the book, I got excited when Alsalam showed up because I thought we would finally figure out what was up with Noal's Compulsion. But before I even got to the Ghenjei sequence, I was suspicious about Alsalam simply because Graendal has been in Arad Doman since well before Siuan was deposed.
