Surely if one healed a mad channeler as thoroughly as Nynaeve did in ToM, it would take more than a few minutes of exposure to the Taint to bring on insanity again? We've seen male channelers use Saidin over the course of multiple books without going mad, after all.
Not necessarily. The "wounds" left by the "thorns" would still be there for the taint to infect. It might even make the re-infestation worse because of the fresh paths that were left behind.
