She was raised by her father (see her first pov in EotW when she's traking Lan and Moraine. Not sure if that passage mentions if he's dead or alive.
I can't remember where, but I know Nynaeve's mother has been mentioned in some sentimental context.
All Wot Wikia has to say is that she was orphaned at 14.
She was orphaned, and came to the Wisdom's service that way. Her father is never named (boo!!), but he was a shepherd who grew tabac. Her mom, Elnore, was a farmwife. All we ever really learn is that Nynaeve was orphaned at 14. Her pop taught her how to hunt, possibly instilling her with a complex about men. Or maybe Nynaeve would've acted that way no matter what.

I think part of Nynaeve's character is that the other characters are her family.
