Brigitte specifically said he had already been born and that he was already "out there somewhere - a baby or a small boy". This is what started the whole speculation in the first place.


Gaidal Cain was still in tel'aran'rhiod in tFoH (or was it tSR? One of them). There's a short scene where he tells Birgitte she's an idiot for talking to Nynaeve and Elayne. He gets spun out sometime after that, meaning he can't be more than an infant yet.
