I agree about the Oaths. The only thing I would say to your 'wait decades before considering removing those oaths on a binder' would be...
equivalent to it being found out that the food at Mcdonalds, even if it's better than the food at Burgerking, once I found out that the food at Mcdonalds was causing me to lose half my life...I gurantee you I would stop eating at Mcdonalds no matter how much I enjoyed the food over Burgerking. I like to think I wouldn't be the only one either.
The Aes Sedai are/will be in the same position. Nobody will want to eat the pill they shove down your throat. If they wait decades, even years if this knowledge comes to the light...they will be sisterless within a generation.
This is why the issue (and boggles my mind that sisters don't care) of the Oath Rod I feel has been ignored for plot purposes. I'll always feel it's one of the glaring holes in the story that nobody cares (Egwene, Nynaeve, Elayne...the sitters) and still vehemently support and can't fathom being free of a Binder that as you say makes their oaths not oaths at all lol.

Nynaeve should not have been made to swear the Oaths

Personally, I think it would have been a brillaint twist if Nyneave didn't become Aes Sedai *NM*

They believe Oaths necessary, thus an Aes Sedai refusing sets herself apart from and above the rest.
