back on wotmania there was a discussion and I had argued that taim had used compulsion on those 4 and was thus more likely to be forsaken trained.

However in one of Jordans blog posts/question of the weeks he actually said that he didn't use compulsion and instead just hurt them in such a way that all they could really do was serve afterwards.


that claim doesn't make much sense with what was said in the book itself, but thats the official answer

For kolp, Oberonus and NaClH2O, what Taim did to those Saldaeans wasn’t Compulsion. They just don’t have the intelligence left that would be needed for anything too exacting.
