You didn't understand what I was saying. Fain was shooting blind; Moiraine was going down a list. Either Fain was transmuted to the point of Ta'veren'ness himself or, even with extra luck, there must have been other hounds for the rest of the world. Perhaps you are saying that Fain's transmutation really was on that scale?
Many 'hounds' or just Padan Fain?
