that's another interesting point darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 31/05/2011 09:04:58 PM
When Siuan came to tell Egwene that the battle had begun, she described some of the Black Ajah Sisters as being able to channel very strongly. Though Siuan's reduced strength might be a factor, after having been used to Egwene, Nynaeve, Elayne and some of the newer initiate's strengths, Siuan would not have reported it in this way if she felt that they were stronger than she expected. I started to go through the list of known Black Ajah to see which ones would be strong enough to merit a comment, but there were too many unknown Sisters that were members of the B.A. for me to get that far.

Katarine is likely the Strongest of the remaining BA that we know of ... or perhaps Alviarin ... but given that no woman in the Tower (and thus the BA) is stronger than Lelaine/Romanda/Elaida level that comment is very curious. Seems most likely to me that BSand was trying to create some sense of tension/drama by making the BA women more threatening in T'A'R ... but on the flip side of that it seems equally obvious that only the very strongest BA would have been brought along to the fight, so it's possible that Siuan was merely commenting on the average general strength level being very high.

How did the BA manage to use the OP so strongly in T'A'R during the fight in the Tower? - 29/05/2011 05:40:09 PM 2977 Views
