... about Egwene "handing over" her boyfriend to Elayne and how a great many women from this board admitted that it was a realistic portrayal of women to my eternal horror and consternation.


Not long after I read book 3 - maybe a year, I can't recall - I had a situation where I learned that my friend got permission from my girlfriend to make a move on me after me and my gf broke up. I felt shocked, too, and really did wonder "am i being passed along like a sweater?" I felt a little cheapened, but I didn't let myself get used.
