Not true actually. Urbanization of the global population has been dramatic. In fact, since 2008 more than 50% of the worlds population has lived in Urban areas... In more developed countries such as the US, the figure is more like 75% ... This has been a huge cultural shift since the early 20th century and is projected to increase even more in the next decades.
