Yeah, suck it WoT-haters! We're eclectic! *NM* Cannoli Send a noteboard - 11/08/2011 02:00:05 AM
I have every confidence in Jordan's ability to not fully explain things and frustrate the casual fan and in Sanderson's ability to completely miss what RJ was going for and screw it up, leaving us with neither answers nor Jordan's original vision.

Very funny and like so many funny things so true.

I don't things are as bad as you think, though. I liked ToM a fair amount. It seemed more true to RJs vision than tGS. Maybe he will get better in AMoL.

Most of the people I know who read a lot of fantasy don't like WoT much. In some sense WoT is more of a historical novel than a fantasy novel. It doesn't fit well into any genre. It is some weird combination of 1 part fantasy/epic, 1 part historical novel, 1 part Little Women/Anne of Green Gables, 1 part logic puzzle, 1 part Classic Literature. You have to quite eclectic to appreciate it.

Those who says that nothing happens in ADWD really need to read CoT - 29/07/2011 12:02:23 PM 1403 Views

A Dance of Dragons is hardly filler. *shrugs* *NM* - 31/07/2011 04:43:58 PM 830 Views
Agreed. It could be argued that more happens in the epilogue of ADWD than all of CoT. *NM* - 01/08/2011 01:27:58 AM 549 Views
