1. Rand's transformation
This proved that Rand would not turn to evil, arguably the DO and Ishamael's biggest goal since the beginning of the series.
2. Cleansing of saidin
The DO's indisputably worst atrocity that led to the destruction of the 2nd Age, reversed in a few hours.
3. Demise of Semirhage and Mesaana
These two events convinced normal people that they too could battle the Shadow. It was well known that Rand had potentially killed the generals of the Shadow, and there were rumours about Moiraine, but the capture and humiliation of Semirhage, and the defeat of Mesaana by a seemingly young girl allowed people to believe that the highest levels of the Shadow are no more than people and can be defeated by people with a goal.
Did it convince YOU? Because that would seem to be completely at odds with your positions on a fuckton of discussions on this topic. Also kind of ironic given our usual places on the Egwene debates, you would finally come around to the notion that the Forsaken are not particularly special through the argument "If Egwene can beat them, ANYONE can."
This is what I love about these ending books - vindication after vindication! Being Cannoli kicks ASS! You guys should have all tried it a long time ago.
Seemingly because she looks like a normal girl but is much more. Egwene does kick ass... she did defeat one of the Forsaken, and that puts her on the same level as Rand and Nynaeve
.But everyone knows about Rand, and he's worshipped as some sort of special being whereas no one really knows about Nynaeve's feat against Moghedien. Egwene is more normal than Rand and the fact that the Amyrlin can defeat a Forsaken is a morale booster. No one will really notice that Egwene is in fact as strong as Mesaana in TAR.
Anyway blah blah blah... this bravado is really tiresome. I wish you were an average channeler and came face to face with Lanfear or Demandred. It would be nice to see all these boasts put to the test....

It's funny because I don't think the Forsaken have proven particularly effective either

I disagree ... The DO seems to have a plan and Moridin showed us he is following a prophesy

Up until the very end of TGS, wasn't the plan to turn Rand/make him do the DO's job for him?
