I have to agree with the first and third points 100%. But the second point I do not see it happening that way at all. After the battle for Caemlyn, Mat will travel to The White Tower to get the Horn. The Horn MAYBE stored in one of deep storage room. Mat will be in the same room when the Seanchan open a gateway to attack. Banner-General Furyk Karede will lead the attack. He stop the attack when The Prince of Ravens "Mat" tells them to. He goes to see Fortuona. Mat tells Fortuona he is the horn blower and shows her the horn. She agree to "cooperate" with the Dragon.


The horn was always linked to Illian in stories, and I don't think that it's without reason. I think sooner or later the horn will be blown in Illian. Maybe, that's why Rand is king there, after dying coming back via the horn has the leader of the heros would be quite symbolic.
Has to why the horn has to be blown in Illian, maybe it's used once again to stop the seanchan. The seanchan would have quite a shock facing the heros (including Arthur Hawkwing) summon by their prince of raven. Furthermore, with Rand present since he is king, he would be able to broker a peace agreement between both nation. One more likely to last, than one between the dragon reborn and the seanchan.
