But you are correct that the project is absolutely immense! The mainstream comic companies in the US have been making a full scale attempt to move into the animation space ... DC and Marvel have put heavy investment into creating TV franchises with decent ratings success ... In the last 2 years DC has released Young Justice and Green Lantern as follow-up series to Justice League and Marvel responded with The Mighty Avengers ... All aimed at more Adult audiences and all seeing a fair degree of commercial success ... I would struggle with WoT done in anime style as I feel it would limit the story telling by focussing only on action sequences and lose much of the richness Jordan inserted via regional accents and dress. Although the style of Avatar and Legend of Korra could translate well for WoT.
