While not definitive, this presumably indicates that Sheriam is on the SC, but that is as specific as she gets.


"a leader among the Black Ajah". What's vague about this when we know the leaders of the BA are the Supreme Council and we've never heard nor saw signs of another hierarchical structure? What's not definitive? Sheriam is conclusively a member of SC. Egwene didn't use the BA denomination, that's all. Why would she have? She wasn't about to stop and explain to the Hall what the Supreme Council was so they understood what she was telling Sheriam.

Sheriam's one of the few (or perhaps even the only one.. she's the only one she mentionned anyway) Egwene let be interrogated before execution, because she was a leader.

You might not like this, because if goes against your preconceptions about age and you find her personality don't fit, but that doesn't change the fact she was a SC member...


I am not refuting Sheriam's role and in fact this supports my notions of Strength and position as her being a leader in the SC supports this.

We have absolutely NO clue if there are other leadership functions with the BA ... Liandrin could also easily be considered a Leader as she is the only known AS to head up a fringe group of BA. Does that put her on the SC ... doubtful, but the quote doesn't automatically make Sheriam a member of the SC. The point is Egwene didn't say "Verin claimed you were a member of the SC" she just said Sheriam was in a position of power. That could have been something the SC gave her as part of an assignment to head up the Rebels.
