Culture plays a large role in determining sexual expression, so it's not particularly surprising that only very radical women or men in the Wheel of Time present as homosexual.


And Emarin and the Sword Bearer (his name escapes me) are not in anyway radicals. If anything they seem nondescript.

Siuan and Moiraine, and Tarna are not truly lesbians, they are women who ended up sleeping with women out of loneliness and from being cloistered without men. They even discuss men openly.
