There were supposed to be a thousand of them, or so. So Elayne took ALL of them to Merrilor, except for 4. 4 so weak they needed a circle to weave a gateway. Which is quite silly. Anyway, after being told Elayne took them all we never hear about them again.
IIRC Sumeko could make shields that bend. She shielded both Elayne and Nynaeve.
