I don't see what the problem is. The more vague Demandred is about whatever he did, the more Taim sweats. Would you have been overly specific in his place?
Maybe not. I guess it makes sense if the intended effect was to make Taim uncertain (I hadn't thought of that), but from the way it was phrased I'd say it sounds more like a bluff than a deliberately vague statement.
