The injuries sustained during the Aes Sedai test are real. It is possible to start your testing, be confronted by a danger you can't handle, and be killed by it.

The ones who make a mistake and have the test end could be considered the lucky ones.


Does that happen to Moiraine? I honestly can't recall.


In any case, even if there's a smaller number than I first guessed, that doesn't really matter to us. Less than one percent of humanity can channel, yet it seems more than half of the WoT cast can. Where's my lady adventurer, dammit!?
