There's a difference between moving an impenetrable object and breaking one. What you're saying is that the limits that arise from being unable to lift someone with air are the same limits on the strength of the air.
Just because you can form indestructible bands of air doesn't mean that you can move objects with them. Think of it this way: imagine you had the ability to build an impenetrable box. That doesn't mean that you can move an elephant with it--it's two totally different things.
