From what I understand, the indication is that she is definitely dead because the Compulsion went away when he did the balefiring.
Also, if the chaos in Arad Doman hasn't completely righted itself, then there is proof for you that she wasn't balefired back that far. Or, if Ituralde still has the orders from "Alsalam", or some such.
It could still be revealed that Graendaldidit by some other means - Moridin or the Dark One might know who killed him.
