Rand's blindness RandAllThor Send a noteboard - 29/10/2009 11:40:38 AM
I was always a member of the huge group believing that the Seanchan Prophecies were indeed corrupted and/or written by followers of the Shadow. However, after Tuon and Rand's face to face meeting she mentioned that Rand wasn't going blind yet as the Prophecies told he would.

I assumed the blindness in the prophecy was meant to be metaphorical, i.e. Rand's figurative blindness to what's going on around him and inside himself. If read that way, one could argue that he already was in fact blind when he met with Tuon.
