On Graendal being alive. I believe she is. I'm not fond of the disipating compulsion theory though. What if the balefire did not destroy here and therefore destroy the Compulsion, but destroyed the palace and therefore destroy the compulsion. If the palace was destroyed by balefire and had not existed for possibly weeks due to the massive amount of balefire, then Graendal may not have been there and there would have been no palace for Ram. to enter at all and that is why the compulsion was never placed on him.

I can't see how Graendal would have predicted that Rand would balefire a whole palace - 29/10/2009 05:06:51 PM 905 Views
And why should Graendal not be privy to their plans? Semi was the pawn. *NM* - 29/10/2009 05:52:11 PM 417 Views
because Rand decided right at that moment *NM* - 29/10/2009 05:55:30 PM 418 Views
Nope. The plan had been building. He has obviously been giving thought to what to do to defeat her. *NM* - 29/10/2009 06:11:45 PM 407 Views

I think it was Moghedien that was balefired in Natrin's Barrow fortress/palace, not Graendal. - 30/10/2009 02:56:53 AM 913 Views
Interesting idea. Definitely possible. *NM* - 30/10/2009 03:06:04 AM 476 Views
Eh... possible, but much, much more unlikely - 30/10/2009 07:46:27 PM 922 Views
