After all, if we're gonna go with "those people would never betray the Dark One", why make them take an oath at all? And knowing Moridin/Ishy and his love of deep schemes, it strikes me as unlikely that he'd leave a loophole that big unintentionally... it's just I really can't see any reason why he'd do it intentionally, except as a massively convenient plot device for Verin's revelations, which would be utterly lame.

I said they'd never betray the DO if it meant their lives would be lost. Without the Oaths, their lives would not be lost, so...
