Perhaps from her Black Ajah sources she knows how Morridin got Lanfear out. She also seems rather adroit at reading the Pattern -- so since the Pattern led her to Mat, she knows that it's Mat who'll need that info.

But this still doesn't quite add up -- what if he just burns the letter in a month? Do they even have a month before the Last Battle?
