The ending of tGS showed Rand and LTT finally becoming truly one person, and now, the Moridin body-snatching theory would make the three one.
This is what I thought also, but like you said, the end of the book indicated that this was less likely. I'm not sure what it means now if it isn't some reference to Aviendha and Elayne linking with Rand to use Callandor.
