Why would Demandred willingly work in the shadow of Sammael (Illian), Bel'al (Tear), Andor (Rahvin) and accept a MUCH smaller nation willingly? It doesn't sound right to me. In fact, it sounds silly. Of course, your "Slayer killed Asmo" idea is equally absurd.
