I know this is small frys after reading that massive diatribe, but the Aiel culture strengthens after the Aes Sedai help build Rhuidean. The Aes Sedai didn't have to set up the apparatus to save the Aiel in the last days, why would a wetlander care about the Aiel?
Because they would produce the guy who would save the wetlands. Duh.
BTW, I LOVE the idea of channelers making ter'angrel to serve the ends of nations or ordinary people. Things like that further reduce the need for actual channelers.
