I've thought it was silly that Aes Sedai hadn't been training in battle weaves for as long as they'd known the true Dragon walked the earth and that the Last Battle was coming.
But now that Egwene captured all those damane, who know only battle weaves, and she wants to turn them into Aes Sedai, that's a great opportunity for the damane to share their knowledge and train the Aes Sedai to be fighters.
