Just my take on Egwene & women in WOT StormCrow Send a noteboard - 23/11/2009 06:39:23 PM
Egwene has, aside from early Nynaeve, been the character that expects everyone to do as she wants them to. That has remained with her as she's gained power and influence.

I was saying earlier that I think this develops, male vs. female, as part of the WOT culture. It seems to get worse when the two, in this case Egwene and Gawyn, are in a relationship. She just seems to expect a certain amount of deference because he cares about her and women are in charge of the relationships.

This is just the way it seems to me. Not a big deal.
