And Suana's invitation to Egwene... yes you need to have some ability with Healing, but wanting to Heal is more important. Look at Moiraine, who is a superb Healer, but doesn't want to spend her life Healing.

As Egwene says, she doesn't shine at Healing, but that doesn't mean she's useless at it. She could be an average Healer, but since for Egwene, average ability is nothing to be proud of, she constantly downgrades herself.

Isn't there a quote about Egwene not being able to heal more than a bruise? Or am I thinking Elayne?

Let's also not forget that the Whites (Ferane) and the Browns (Bennae and later Saeran) are also recruiting her. Couple that with the Green knowing full well she considers herself a Green in spirit if not actuality and the Blues in the rebel camp feeling her allegiance via her Blue Keeper and the Greys out there through her Mistress of Novices (IIRC Tiana is Grey) and we've got the full spectrum of non-Red (until Silviana becomes Keeper).

This entire scene is part of BS building to Egwene being of all Ajah and none IMO.

Who comes out looking worst in the Egwene-Suana encounter? Egwene, Suana or B-Sand? - 27/11/2009 04:16:18 PM 1773 Views
