That's how I felt about "Did Verin lie?" As things "intuitively obvious to even the most casual reader" go that one was a no brainer: Verin or Moiraine lied, and we have too many Mo PoVs to think she did. The debate raged on and I always felt greatly outnumbered. Almost from the start I thought the three lasting Big Questions were:
1) Who Killed Asmo?
2) Is Moiraine Dead?
and
3) Did Verin Lie?
Two of those are answered now. Sanderson promised the first one will be also, so be patient.
Verin and her plan were never a major debate. It was never at a level of "Who is Demandred?" and "Who killed Asmodean?" The latter has become drawn out way, way too long.
