Probably just needs to be modified a bit Light in the Night Send a noteboard - 02/12/2009 07:36:41 AM
It seems more like suspended animation than anything. I submit the rose Rand left for Elayne, and the "stasis boxes" The rose won't be moving around- even the dew will stay exactly the same. And I'm pretty sure that the gholam mentions being asleep for a very long time.

I think you're on the right track with the whole "pretending to use the Oath Rod" thing, but I don't think it's through the use of a Keeping.

Something between a Keeping weave and the cocoon that Rand used around himself when fighting Dashiva and the renegade asha'man in Cairhien. Rand could still move inside that weave, but couldn't breathe or channel.

I'm not entirely convinced that a Keeping is the same as a stasis box. Seems redundant if they are.
Where once was Shadow
Now reigns Light
Darkness fades
Into the Night

I made the switch!

Not just that, but in the AoL, the Oath Rod was used to "bind criminals". *NM* - 02/12/2009 05:41:35 AM 247 Views

Well, that's just one oath. The other two are not as easy to circumvent. - 02/12/2009 01:19:53 AM 619 Views
But given free will, they can interpret "danger" to mean "clear and present" or "potential danger" - 02/12/2009 04:54:26 PM 445 Views
Last defense of life cannot mean potential danger. *NM* - 02/12/2009 05:51:27 PM 188 Views
Yes it can. It all depends on interpretation. - 03/12/2009 12:22:47 AM 447 Views
