I liked this about her, though. True heroism is one of the reasons why I read fantasy, and Egwene being infallible is kind of endearing.
She wasn't just infallible, she was almost god-like.
And, as I said, I did enjoy reading her parts. Very good, imo. Just slightly different from how the RJ characters have been presented in the past. I do think it helped that she frequently thought about how she could mess things up and needed not to do so. If we hadn't been in her PoV and she had still done the same actions, I'd probably have liked it less. Then she would have been god-like.
Agreed. It's probably why I like Egwene and the Forsaken - they're all legend and too icky and fun to read about. Realism is low down on my list when reading, I get enough from the part of the Pattern that I live in
